If you want historical fiction, then Ann Rinaldi all the way! Seriously, she's really good. I'd recommend "A Stitch in Time," and "In My Father's House", which is set in the American civil war.

You can also try Kathryn Lasky's "The Bone Wars" about a group of people involved in the excavation of dinosaur bones.

If you like horses or anything then I would recommend the "High Hurdles" series, by Lauraine Snelling. The first book in that series is called "Olympic Dreams".

    Happy reading. :D

A few boks that I have read, being a freshman, plus I only like the same two genres.

    The Luxe

    Gossip Girl

    Crank, others by ellen hopkins

    Cruel Summer

    The Bermudez triangle

    and The V Club

I hope I helped and also if you want more titles you can always stop by your town's library and ask a librarian or go to a book store and ask. It is what those people do for a living so they would have good advice too.

The Outsiders and The Pigman are really good books. The Outsiders is about something that actually kind of happened so it is realistic fiction. The Pigman is also realistic fiction. You should read these books. ♥

You should read any of the dear Canada or Dear America series. Their fake diary's of girls who lived in the past. It tells a lot about cetain things that happen. Like the gold rush or Pearl Haurbor Or maybe the Moose Jaw tunnel books They're really good too. I don't really know because I like fantasy books more but I find these good for not being fantasy.

William Martin and James Michener are my favorite historical fiction authors. Their books tend to be pretty big. I recommend starting with Michener's Journey and Martin's Cape Cod.
