Translated: What do you intend to do in the summer vacation?
I think you should write in future tense!
Hope this helps!

What are you doing for the Summer Holidays?
Answer in the future tense. Or copy the question " Ich habe vor, nach Deutschland zu reisen" I intend to travel to Germany.

What do you have planned for the summer holidays?
I think in this case, in German, like in English, it would sound more natural in the present tense "I'm going to the US", but if this is for a class, your teacher may be expecting future.
