I have a Netgear 54Mbps wireless router, WGR614. It always says its a 'unsecure connection' when im online. I have constant problems with the computer acting up and getting viruses, despite all the antivirus/spyware tools, doing all the maintenes, and i do everything right to keep it safe. Can it be...

I don't think the router is "bad", but rather the firmware is out of date, in which case you should try to update the firmware via the routers IP address/web page, or just buy a new one, they are not too much.

u may have a different security setting on it, if u change the setting to perhaps use a password it will not say unsecure connection. assume your router must be public atm dats why it is unsecure, u shud set a password to ensure no one else is leeching of ur internet

because it is saying insecure connection it means you don't have any encryption (security) on it. which means any one in range can connect to your wireless. You must set up the security.
