is there a pc to tv guru out there? i bud the cables and it works but i cant read?

purchase an s-video cable an a "Y" /AV cable to view my pc sreen on my tv.
i connected the cables from my laptop to my tv and everithing workrd perfect.
when i set up my computer for 2 screens
i've got a problem:
wheen i see my pc sreen on my tv...or if i open a web page on my tv screen, the image looks all fuggy and i cant read the words on the screen even if i encrease the font size.
is there a way to fix this?
i would like to be able to read webpages clearly on my tv screen.
can this be done?
am i doing something wrong?
please help me

The best resolution you can get out of s-video is 480i.
Then your TV does the best it can to scale this up.
While analog video may look OK, this is not really a good resolution to read text or web pages. For that, you need a VGA or HDMI connection.

You need to match the PC resolution with the TV screen resolution. Unless you have a newish TV (e.g. LCD ) the TV resolution will be low making text look really bad.

unless it's a hdtv, it's going to be fuzzy. regular tv has a horrible resolution compared to a computer monitor.. you can try to lower your computer's resolution, but it won't help to the point where you can read it.. sorry!
