Why has the US attacked Iraq, planning to bomb Iran, but not country that backed 9/11 hijackers, Saudi Arabia?

Most Americans know that 15 of the 19 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia, but fewer seem to know that the Joint Congressional Inquiry into 9/11 found that Saudi Arabia supported at least two of the hijackers directly and a recently released document shows that a Saudi agent picked up those two when they arrived at... show more Most Americans know that 15 of the 19 hijackers came from Saudi Arabia, but fewer seem to know that the Joint Congressional Inquiry into 9/11 found that Saudi Arabia supported at least two of the hijackers directly and a recently released document shows that a Saudi agent picked up those two when they arrived at LAX.

Bush connected attacking Iraq to 9/11 in a letter he sent to congress on the eve of war in Iraq:
______________________

(2) acting pursuant to the Constitution and Public Law 107-243 is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001.

It was a requirement of the Iraq War Resolution that he showed invading Iraq was part of going after those responsible for 9/11, using exactly the words that Bush cited above.
