Anyone work for the United States Post Office?

If so, what do you think? Are the wages competitive? I am looking into it for Chicago, IL. Thanks in advance for the help.

Wages in the U.S. Postal Service is usually better than competitive. Most positions in the post office are productivity-oriented, meaning you have to hustle to make quotas. They frown on slackers. The pay is good if you work at it and do as you're told.

I worked in the USPS Computer Forwarding Section from 1981 to 1995.
