Is "perforated" the correct word to be used in this context?


This rujak is called krobo or gobed which is made from a variety of fruits, such as pomelo, pomegranate which are perforated with sugar and given acidic water.

    Perforated means having holes punched in it. Unless the sugar is poking holes in the pomegranate then the pom' is not being 'perforated'.

    Perhaps it's being 'immersed' in a sugar and acidic water solution? Soaked in sugar and acidic water?
