We have a Department of Energy being Hamstrung by Fish and Wild life and EPA and you wonder at the cost of oil

Congress has chosen to sue OPEC instead of relaxing restrictions on drilling on Federal Lands, It is congress that has the power to ease restrictions, Not the oil companies.

D.C. is corrupt, now the reasons for it may not be as important as the fact, the gov't is simply corrupt. Politicians try to soothe the populous by dragging oilmen before congress, as if we didn't know these oilmen are severely limited to where they can drill, by CONGRESS. It's the blame game, better yet congress is asking questions for which they already know the answer.

Ok....why would you want to destroy more of our planet for a short term and very temporary solution? The answer to the energy crisis comming is not more oil, that is not sustainable and has allready caused huge damage. The answer is wind, solar, higher efficiency engines during the years of transition that are ultimately going to be required or our civilization and way of life will collapse.
