I wish they could but they can't it would be the team best place in the tournament wich would be the runner up since two teams of the the same country can't reach the finals they will abviosly have to cross in semi-finals.

If a mexican team wins copa liberatodres they will not play fifa world cup. copa libertadores is couth america's champions league. Mexico is not part of Conmebol. Theyre federation is Concacaf. Mexian teams participate in the tournament only because of the competition they provide to the rest of the teams in the federation. So if a mexican team wins it the runner up who would definately be from south america, because two mexican teams cant play in the final, will represent Conmebol in the world cup

If a Mexican team wins the Libertadores the runner-up will have to be a South America team and that team will go to the Fifa WCC. They have that in the contract, only a South America team from the Conmebol can represent them, not invitees from another confederation.

Unfortunately not, even though Mexican teams always perform well against the South Americans. Just like if Mexico would have won Copa America last year, they would have not been allowed to play in the Confederations Cup. To bad, I was looking forward to a rematch against the U.S.

Usually yes, the winner would go on to play in the Fifa world cup. BUT, since pachucka has already got a spot in it. And Mexico cant have to teams in this tournament.

  • IF A MEXICAN TEAM OR ANY OTHER TEAM OUTSIDE OF ITS JURISDICTION WINS THE COPA LIBERTADORES THE RUNNER UP MOST LIKELY A SOUTH AMERICAN TEAM WILL TAKE HIS PLACE. MEXICO CANNOT HAVE TWO PLACES IN THE WORLD CLUB CUP
