Can't say anything about h.m. richards, inc.
Zippers on cushions are there strictly to put stuffing inside at factory or where sofa/chairs are made. Covers with zippers are not to be removed for washing..

Washing is one thing....the drying is another. My sister did this and had to have the whole sectional redone. If you are going to wash them, use the gentle cycle or do them by hand, and don't put them in the dryer. Put them back on the cushions and prop them up so that air can circulate around them. A fan is helpful for this. You will need to rotate them so all surfaces get dry. You will be unable to use them for a number of hours until they are completely dry, but it beats replacing them.
