If someone is held without bail pending trial, are they assigned a BOP 8 digit register number?

Is a federal pretrial detainee going to receive an 8 digit Bureau of Prisons register number?

    That register number is the number assigned to a particular inmate by the US Marshal Service. The BOP just uses it.

    ALL Federal inmates have a register number. Even if they are detainees or have very short sentences.
