Identify the reason you are depressed. Counseling may help you, but perhaps there is an underlying reason for your depression that you can find in yourself and once you have that answer, you can think of ways to change that situation so that you will feel better about yourself. Are you unhappy with your studies? School is very important because it leads to a career and that is very important to your success in life. Teenagers often do think about killing themselves because they are going through such a hard time in their lives but of course it would deal an immense amount of pain to your parents if you were to take your own life. Do you have a trusted friend you can talk to about your depression? Bounce some ideas off a friend and see if you can't unravel the reason behind your depression. Maybe you are simply confused about some aspect of your life and if you could illuminate it, you would see that there is no reason to be depressed over it and you can move on with your life. Otherwise, if you are in terrible trouble, you can call a crisis line or otherwise seek counseling.
