Here are a couple of volunteer networking sites. Each will let you search in your city or zip for volunteer opportunities. If you still need assistance, then just begin with your heart. Do you love children? Pets? Books? Nature? Then volunteer your time and energy with local schools, shelters, libraries, and clubs. You may find them by searching "Chamber of Commerce [city] [state]" or call the mayor's office to see if there's a website run by the city.

    Good luck.

Try your local thrift stores like Goodwill or salvation Army. Hospitals, Animal Shelters and churches are also good places to try. My son had to do community service, he was not very happy about it at first. But, now he finds it to be very fulfilling.

Just go to any facility and offer free help. Believe me..5 out of 10 places will possibly want help.
