Do you think we in the USA and other countries have screwed ourselves but buying cheap products made in China?
Unemployment is getting REALLY bad. IT HAS GOTTEN BAD.
We in the United States have been purchasing products made in other countries because they are cheap, low cost, made by people working for near slave wages. NOW so many of our manufacturing jobs AND PC support jobs have gone to Asia.
CLEARLY, have we not brought this on ourselves?
There use to be bumper stickers that said ; "BUY AMERICAN WHILE YOU STILL HAVE A JOB"
Or it said: "Buy American while there is time."
We have put our each other out of work, have we not?
Apparently the greedy men and women in the U.S.A corporations will continue to use exploited people in China and other Asian and third world countries, as long as we stay the suckers that keep buying the crap.
The diease that is causing the honey bees to "leave the hive" has spread to our politicians and buisnessmen, they have "sold out the hive" P.S. do you need to correct my spelling? Is it that freaking serious?

Beg, borrow, or steal a copy of the Wal Mart movie: "The High Cost of Low Price" (you won't find it in Wal Mart, though).
China, through the policies of Wal Mart and other 'low price' retailers, has become the world's factory.
One of the reasons you're paying $4 or more for a gallon of gas is because of corporate policies of manufacturing items where ever the LOWEST labor is.
And of course stupid 'trade policies' that only ensure that only Wal Mart and the Chinese government benefit.
Ross Perot said it years ago when he ran for president..."Hear that loud sucking sound? That's jobs leaving the United States"...
Our own government has looked the other way (and this is NOT Bush's fault, but a policy that goes back a couple of decades) while manufacturing corporation after corporation has closed up shop and moved operations overseas....
It is sad, but yes, we have done it to ourselves.
It is amazing that the Mexican goverment, due to corruption and apathy, let this economic boom bypass them! Instead of China and a communist government and military benefiting from this, it COULD have been Mexico, and then Mexicans and other central and South American workers would not have to come here looking for work, but have jobs south of the border. Instead, the Mexican government prefers to keep itself in power by snuggling up to drug cartels and do nothing for the citizens of Mexico, while still blaming the US for all of Mexico's problems.

You are so correct. We're a throw away society and the cheapest products (and the most dangerous) come from COMMUNIST China. Our politicians have made some seriously bad bargains and we will continue to bleed jobs to foreign countries because our country can't educate the kids we have and the corporations only want cheap labor, whatever it takes. Your spelling doesn't matter here. I would agree 100% with you. Now, go vote! The only way we can fix our government is to vote them out. I believe that we are on the verge of a serious revolution here and I hope that I'm involved in some way!!!

because our foreign trade policy is anti-american. we allow china to tariff our goods at over 10 times what we charge them. yet this insane imbalance and the incredible damage it's done to the american economy and way of life is literally never talked about and is not an issue in this year's presidential election. but i'm curious - do you think the american middle class should be paid the same as chinese workers? if american middle class workers lose their financial clout - who will buy the world's products? the 900 million peasants in china? i don't think so... by the way - to those who say it's unions and taxes - unions currently make up less than 7% of the amiercan workforce. those who have sought to destroy unions and the way of life that goes along with them have succeeded. this means they will need to find a new boogie man to LIE to the american people about. also our corporate tax rate is NOT the highest in the world - this is an oft repeated lie that everyone believes - but it's simply not true. corporations, as a percent of taxes collected, pay less than they have in over 70 years.

You are right. The USA and other countries should stop buying stuffs made in China. Chinese economy is so overly heated that a pause on export money will do good for it. It allows China to take steps one at a time towards bridging with the world properly instead of such sudden economic strength which draws nothing but envy from the western world. Thank you very much. *bow*

YES, we American workers have put each other out of work by buying stuff made by slave labor, and I DO cheap mean stuff made by SLAVES!!!
If we American people could boycott the products of one company who sent the most jobs to other countries, then after they fold, go to the next one until the get the message and build factories here to employ the people who buy the products.
Look, even our pro sports players will not endorse a shoe made in the USA. Tell me which shoes are made in the USA?Source(s): That diease that is killing off the honey bees by causing th bees to leave the hives is a good analogy. Our companies in America have left the "hive" and are now supporting Red COMMUNIST China, AND WE HELP THEM EVERY FREAKING DAY!

no, those unemployed are lucky that they can buy affordable things bc it's made in china. bc they dont work, they cant afford the american made products. and what happens when they can't afford it?---the governments forks over our tax money to them. unemployed??---they need to get jobs, there's always jobs so long as the person is willing to take up the available jobs or moving to places where jobs exist.
the U.S. hires people from overseas to work in america bc there's not enough people in america with enough credentials to work the job that needs employees badly. so, don't blame china for people who don't put in enough effort to get and keep a job bc the US always has jobs.

WELL EVEN uS IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF GLOBALISATION ..u get cheap and quality IT services from india to boasts ur profits and economy and u guys complain of that...
anyways the nuclear engery deal with india everything is also in favour of US .. the telephone jobs the guys that do are lil less educated so they work for relatively low sals as comapred to u guys so the firms get more profit .. its like that ..chinese products are sold in a lot here in india too :( they r manufacturing gaints and we r servicing gaints

This is what globalization means. Global market for goods and labor. The West has to accept the wages of the Chinese and Indians or be unemployed. The rich become richer and the poor become poorer.

Gindeed we have. America no longer has a substantial manufacturing base. ever since AL gore and NAFTA major corporations have packed up and left for over seas. cheap labor bigger, profits. you are hard pressed to find made in America on any products

We cant compete with China, because we have standards and they dont, that is the problem with globalization. Manufacturers will seek out the cheapest labor, the labor with no health of safety standards and no oversight of quality .
