you are Lily Wong, the Marketing Officer of Y&S Company. Read the following note fr your Manager, Vincent Ng and write an email as instructed.


Dear Lily

As agreed in the meeting, we have to purchase more plastic containers for storing stationery in our store room. Please send an email to Kenny Mo, Sales Officer of Novelty Plastic Company about the order regarding the following:

Tell her:

- No. & size of containers : 20 (50cm x 40cm x 20cm)

- Delivery: by late June

- Contact person: Mr Johnson Chan, Marketing Assistant( Tel: 23232323)

State our requirements:

- Containers: With lids and handles

- Material: high-density polyethylene(must)

- Colour: Black

- Weight capacity: 1000 lbs( 1st choice), 800 lbs( 2nd choice)

Ask her:

- Any warranty period?

- Terms of payment?

- Send us : latest product catalogue?

- Short conference, show us some samples? Only Tue. p.m not available.

    Dear Mr. Mo ,

    Re : Purchase of plastic containers

    This is Lily Wong. I am the Marketing Officer of Y & S Company. On behalf of our Marketing Manager Mr. Vincent Ng, I would like to let you know that we are planning to place the following orders to you on the plastic containers. Please note the following specifications and requirements of the order :

    1. Specification : ( 50 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm ) - usually you have to put the height, width and depth for each number, e.g. 50 cm height x 40 cm width x 20 cm length

    2. Quantity : 20 pieces

    3. Delivery : On or before June 30, 2008.

    4. Requirements :

    a. Containers: With lids and 2 handles each on all 4 sides.

    b. Material : high-density polyethylene – we will not accept any other substitution of material.

    c. Colour: Black

    d. Weight capacity: 1000 lbs (1st choice), 800 lbs (2nd choice)

    5. Quotation :

    a. Please send your quotation to Mr. Johnson Chan, our Marketing Assistan at your earliest convenience.

    b. Please state in your quotation whether any warranty is provided and let us know the warranty period.

    c. Please state your terms of payments.

    6. Please send us your latest catalogue along with the quotation.

    7. Mr. Vincent Chan would like to have a short conference meeting with you on Tuesday morning. Please confirm your availability by return. During the meeting we would also like to see any samples which you think are suitable for our company.
