Achieved status?

An individual can acquire an achieved status by, attending school, establishing a friendship, inventing a new product, or all of them?

    All of those are achieved statuses - they're something that you are not born with, basically, but something you pursue, something you can acquire and is within your control in a way. Examples of status that IS NOT achieved is stuff like being a male or female, being black or white, where you are born, etc.
