Laparoscopic gallbladder removal scars?

I'm going in for surgery 5/7 and would like to know if there is anything I can do to help prevent horrible scars. I know it is partly your genetics, but I was wondering if there are some additional things I can do. Please help I've see people with barely visable scars to very dark red and keloid type scarring.

Since it is laparoscopic, the scarring should be minimal .The nurses should instruct you ( ask if they don't ) on how to care for the wounds when you get home. When they start healing good, put neosporin on them. That helps scarring and speeds the healing process. But, be sure to ask yhe Doctor if that's O.k.
