Why not seek out one of the online videos of Holocaust survivors available through various web sites? I definitely recommend checking out Yad Vashem's web site. Yad Vashem is based in Jerusalem and is the leading authority on preserving victim and survivor testimony, as well as Holocaust education: http://www.yadvashem.org. Click on "Remembrance" and then "Video Testimony Resource Center," for example, to see clips of survivors speaking about their individual experiences. Also, if you click on "On-line Exhibitions," you can see loads of worthwhile info. I frequently use the stories in the "Spots of Light -- Women in the Holocaust" exhibit in class.

    Here's another possibility: http://www.library.yale.edu/testimonies/excerpts/i...

They're very old by now and the ones still alive were kids at the time and don't remember much and hopefully were not there very long.

The ones who are now dead, spent their lifetime wishing they hadn't survived.
