How many muses do you have?
I used to think I had one muse,
but now the list is very long.
I really have so many bards,
each one does sing a different song.
A muse, whose name is of the Earth
is blessed by the Godess above.
She often sings of many things,
of cards, of life, of death and love.
Another muse, does challege me
with structure forms and metered verse.
She's made the planet Mars her home
A sister of knowledge and words.
There is one more who sings of love
with heart and soul of purest gold.
He sings of one who he has lost,
of friends he'd love to hug and hold.
Another keeps me on my toes.
I must read between her lines.
with artsy words that make us smile.
A morning bard, like sun, she shines.
The one who's made some dreams come true
did lure a flock of loyal bards
to publish their creative works
and then sent them off into the stars.
For God and country he would fight.
For friend and family he would love.
A muse whose soul is blazing bright.
At times I need a saucy muse
whose artful words can make you blush
with spice and flare a verse devine
her stories short, but never rushed.
Another one, a friend to all.
whose smile can light the darkest night.
She sings of colts and painted men
A crafty muse with broad insight.
A soulful bard of lovely words.
A tragic youth she often shares
which often does encourage me
and shows me that she really cares.
A lovely muse, a child of strife.
Abused by some she gave her trust.
Her darker side we often see
As she ponders true love and lust
To all of you and many more
whose hearts and craft inspire me
I wrote this just to let you know
you all mean a great deal to me.
There are many more of you who
I wanted to include, but I need just
a bit more time to get to know you
better. Until then, see if you can
guess who belongs to each stanza.
I will post the names later.
