50's music project;?

i'm doing a project on music in the 50's - what were popular genres and bands in those genres, how was the music heard, and what was the main message trying to be portrayed in the music.

im not asking to do the project for me, but could you help me with some good websites ? :)

    Elvis, The everly bros, Chuck Berry, fats Domino. There are alot of artists and alot of different types of music from the 50's. The message was falling in love, losing someone...Basicly like music of today, it don't change
