Each state in the United States has its own constitution. Of course, all state constitutions are inferior (in a legal sense) to the United States Constitution, and when reading state constitutions, this must be kept in mind - a state constitution, for example, cannot validly authorize a state religion. However, many state constitutions guarantee civil rights that the United States Constitution does not. The Vermont Constitution, for example, abolished slavery long before the U.S. Constitution did so.

The United States Constitution is the supreme law of the United States of America. It provides the framework for the organization of the United States Government.

Not sure if this helped, but not knowing what state you are asking about I can't tell you what there differences are.

the US constitution covers the entire United States. Your State constitution is for your state only.

The US Constsitution is a very short and simple document as laws go. In my state, California, the constiution is very long and complicated.

Well for one it depends on the state and the state constitution was written by that state. In any conflict between the state consitution and the U.S. Constitution, the national consitution rules.
