Did you go to univeristy or college or trade school after high school? In other words, what are you interested in? It is not up to your friends and family to make your life worth living to you... get out there. Do something you enjoy doing! Most people who have moved on from high school have met others in the schools they attended who have similar interests. Join a club, volunteer, move to a new city, travel! Adult life isn't that hard... life is what you make of it.
I hate my job that I have now. So, I am taking extra courses at the local college... and decided to go to med school next year! I am 34. It is a huge difficult decision and I am terrified, but you only life once.
Most of my friends have moved away, but I made new ones. I live in Canada, my friends all over the USA. We meet a few times a year on trips. There is so much out there. When I want to go somewhere, and nobody is interested... I travel by myself. I had always wanted to see Alchatraz and California, so when I turned 30, I went by myself and enjoyed a week in San Fransisco! Next trip I want to see the Grand Canyon!
All this to say is that if you are bored, it is your own fault. Life is so short. I work at a hospital. I see people with Cancer all the time and other terminal illnesses. I tell ya, I intend to live my life to the fullest.
(Oh ya, my boyfriend is in Iraq right now for a year. I could be home feeling lonely and sorry for myself. But I would rather think of him and be proud of what he is doing (he is a fireman), than sitting here feeling sorry for myself. I am lonely, but you can't let that run your life!).
