there are two public exams in secondary school life, one is HKCEE (Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination) and the other one is HKALE (Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination). if you pass the former (at least get 14 score, 5 subjects passed), you MAY have the chance to study form 6, if the degree of difficulty in the exam of a certain year is lower or students' standard is relatively higher than previous years, more students can get 14 score, then the score requirement may be regulated to a higher level in order to maintain a balance in academic degrees, and vice versa.
HKALE is an exam for form 7 students. generally, if they get better results than other competitors, they can enter university. but nowadays the circumstance is a little bit different 'cause many students from mainland china are competing university academic degrees with HK students!! even if you've got kinda good results, you still may worried about the chance of entering university! im sorry that i cant provide more details cuase im not studying form 7.
HK teenagers love fashion, so they always go to causeway bay, tsim sha tsui, mong kok etc. after schools or during holidays. there are lots of huge shopping malls, specialty shops of famous brands. singing karaoke and watching movies are also the climate of diversion.
ah... i discover a fact, that is HK is soaked in japan and taiwan style (i mean teenagers love their styles), no matter in whatever aspects (dressing, make up etc.)....
general observation, i am a hongkonger and currently study form 4
