Flags should be flown at half mast during periods of National
Mourning. The House flag flown at half mast denotes a death
of an employee
When flying a flag at half mast, the flag should first be hoisted
to the peek for an instant and then lower to the half mast
position, the flag should again be raised to the peek before
lowering for the day
Half Mast is not half way down the pole, but a sufficient
distance to indicate that the flag is at half mast, and not just
slipped. A good indication is to fly the flag two thirds of the
length down from the top of the pole

FLAG SENIORTY
1.When used, the New Zealand flag must be flown from the
senior flagpole
2.Commonwealth flags fly in alphabetical order from the
Left, after the New Zealand flag
3.Other Foreign Flags are then flown in alphabetical order.
4.House Flags, come to the left of National flags. If two flags
are flown from one Flagpole, a National flag may be flown
above the House flag, but No two National Flags should
be flown together, -this indicates the top Country has
defeated the lower Country in Battle.

FLAG POLE SENIORITY
1.When there is more than one flagpole, the highest, is the
Senior Flagpole
2.If all flagpoles are same height, with your back to the
Building, the right hand pole is senior to those on the left.
