    Lesson plan:

    (1) Definition of Stanza

a stanza usually is a group of lines arranged together in a recurring pattern of metrical lengths and a sequence of rhymes.

    (2) Rhyme scheme

A thyme scheme is the pattern of rhyming lines in a poem or song. It is usually referred to by using letters to indicate which lines rhyme. In other words, it is the pattern of end rhymes.

For example, in the above poem, "A,A,B,B," indicates a four-line stanza in which the first and second lines rhyme, as do the third and fourth.

    Some rhyme schemes:

    A,B, A, B

    A,B, A, B,B ……..

    Poem types:

An acrostic poem spells a word downward.( Give an example

Adiamante poem is shaped like a diamond. ( Give an example)

    Questions about the poem:

    e.g. Who is the Queen?

What kind of food does the bee take?
