I just started getting these pop-ups and i need to know how to get rid of them!!!?

I just started getting these pop-ups in the past few days and i cant get rid of em. They all have "CiD" before whatever web address on the top bar of the pop-up. I've ran my anti-virus numerous times and i've ran my spyware scan numerous times but they wont go away! and my pop-up blocker stays on. ive had this computer for only a few months but this hs never happened before. is there anything i can do besides reformat? how can i figure out what program this is thats in my comp to turn it off?!?!?!?

    I had this before. But, I just went to Add/Remove programs and found a thing called CiD Help and uninstalled it. Then, I ran spybot search and destroy and delete the rest that was hidden.

  • You need to scan for adware. Follow the instructions for scanning in safe mode. The problem is that the virus is rolling back into a known state and reinstalling itself from your startup menu on reboot. You will most likely find some randomly named executable file in your C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\\.

    You'll need to disable rollbacks in order to get rid of this adware. Once you do that, reboot your system into safe mode and look in the startup menu for the executable program (.exe) that is installing the adware. Remove the startup and then remove the program it points to. After that, run your virus scanner. This should get rid of the problem. You can then enable rollbacks and reboot.
