Is it better for Nepal to become a republic or stay a monarchy?

Nepal should remain a monarchy.
Nepal is, like many countries, deeply unfortunate in its politicians. No way should one of them take the top job.
Furthermore, when you have a country as fragmented ethnically, religiously and linguistically as Nepal, a monarchy makes the most sense to symbolically hold it together.
Look at what happened to Afghanistan, a similarly diverse country, when its monarchy was abolished.
All who wish well for Nepal should support a constitutional or a ceremonial monarchy as its form of government.

The monarch is corrupt and has outlived its usefulness to the population.
It is both oppressive and does not seem to be getting the nation in the right direction.
Now be warned, there are a lot of problems with a republic and getting there and staying there, but the alternative is worse, so republic.
