can i use an iron flat pan on a ceramic stove,?

    I would. I have a ceramic top stove and it's much less fragile than people tend to think. the only thing I've seen that concerns me is using pots, etc. that do not cover the whole cook surface. It seems to char the finish on the stove-top, but I've found I can clean it up later, with some elbow grease.

    yes, and you may be surprised to know that if the pan is made of cast iron, you can use a lower temp setting , my guess is the density of the pan helps to distribute the heat better

    I think you'd be OK too, but find the manual for the stove, or call the manufacturer and ask them.

    Unless the bottom has burrs or other things that can scratch the ceramic top, you should be fine.

    Yes. Just put it down gently so you don't damage the cooktop.
