YouTube has done something lately recently or some popular program has that is causing many problems with some people's flash players in loading the video. Although it's tapered off a bit, this forum has seen a surge in people with the same problem lately. It's not an uncommon problem but lately it's been more than usual.

    YouTube recommends you try this:

    1. Uninstall your flashplayer using Adobe's uninstall tool (important, not add/remove programs)

    2. Restart your computer

    3. re-install adobe's latest flash player

How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control

"Due to recent enhancements to the Adobe Flash Player installers, you can now remove the player only by using the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller. ..."

Then restart your computer, then reinstall the latest version here.

YouTube Help Center: "The video won't play—what's wrong?"

This has definitely worked for some people with this problem:

ok just ignore the virus response, you prob need an active x controler thats what the videos use on youtube to play them its a free download you can either get one off of microsofts website or any where else on google, if that doesnt fix the problem, try to play it from the link in the box to the right of the video and download it to your desktop and then try to play it with windows media player just right click on it and click open with.. windows media player, if u already have an active x controller installed on your computer try uninstalling and re installing, good luck

Maybe it's because of the heavy online traffic.

In this case, you can try to download the vid before watching.

I'm using Moyea flv downloader. It downloads very fast with high quality and supports full screen.

    And it is free.

It is very easy to handle.

You needn't get the url when downloading the vid.

    Press "start recording"

Click in the vid you plan to download.

The downloader will automatically save it to your hard disk.

Then you can watch it with the bounded flv player.

You can search "flv downloader" on for more info.

make sure u have the latest version of everything. clear ur browser history... u know go to tools Options Delete history..check all that stuff. clear the cache in stuff jus to give it like a "fresh" start...close browser...restarted PC..then try it. it also may depend on what browswer you're using. if you're using mozilla...sometimes you have to download a special plug in. I already had java/macromedia bla bla tooo for internet explorer but when it came to firefox/flock.netscape/mozilla it said i needed to download the plug in again

HI check the Security settings in ur Internet Options in ur Control Panel. Click Start then Control Panel and then Internet Options. Make sure ur sliders are on Medium when u click the Security Tab at the top and the Privacy tabs at the top. Also, make sure u don't have a " Pop Up Blocker " on ur Browser in the toolbar u will see Settings click on that and then uncheck the Pop Up Blocker. Try that !!!

probably network traffic is high, or something..

    these will help you...

    1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother, and re-install latest flash.

get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...

by the way, the javascript is turned on by default.

    2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.

Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.

Or you could watch it offline... try using 'zillatube' .

It works well - Just yahoo or google search "zillatube" to get it.
