Spanish : mucho o muchos?

When using verbs, would i say "mucho" or "muchos".

For example: No nos hablábamos muchos. Muchos because it's nosotros?

It's 'mucho' because it's an adverb and adverbs don't have a plural form.

    The same happens with

lentamente - It doesn't have a plural form

    rapidamente

    bien

    ultimamente

    etc, etc....

"Nosotros hablábamos mucho." (We talked a lot.)

In this sentence, "mucho" is an adverb and it can be used only in the singular form.

"Muchos" can be used only as an adjective for something that is plural.

    Example: muchos colores (many colors)

And when you use "mucho" as an adjective, you use it for something that is singular.

Example: mucho trabajo (a lot of work)

    No nos hablabamos mucho.

"mucho", in this case is an adverb, because you are modifying a verb.

No. It should be "(Nosotros) hablábamos mucho" (We talked a lot) because "mucho" is an adverb of extent indicating how much you talked.

"Mucho" would change its endings in noun phrases like

Mucho dinero > a lot of money

Mucha limonada > a lot of lemonade

Muchos amigos > a lot of friends

Muchas cosas buenas > a lot of good things.
