What are 2 characteristics that considers Achilles from "The Illiad" or the movie "Troy" (they're the same thing) as an epic hero?

An epic hero is primarily a superwarrior. He's strong, brave, skilled, nearly invincible, and charismatic. He's also highborn--and mortal. It's important that he be mortal. Although he may have divine ancestry (Gilgamesh, Achilles, and Aeneas are all the sons of goddesses), he himself must grow old and die some day--or die before he grows old.

We see in the Iliad that, when Achilles chooses to fight, he's unbeatable. When Aeneas tries to face him, Poseidon actually rises above his partiality for the Acheans to rescue him, since Aeneas is destined to survive the war, and if he faces Achilles, he won't. When Hector chooses to stay outside Troy when all the other Trojan warriors retreat inside, he knows he's choosing to die.

Achilles also knows that he himself is choosing to die, though not immediately. Not only did he (as he tells Odysseus et al. in Book 9) choose to be a hero and die young rather than live out his normal lifespan in obscurity, but when he prepares at last to go into battle to avenge Patroculus by killing Hector, he's warned twice that he's fated to die soon after Hector, and he replies both times that it doesn't matter. He evidently feels that, since he let Patroclus be killed, he owes it to him to avenge him even at the cost of his own life. The fact that Hector is wearing Achilles' old armor (which he took off Patroclus' body) when Achilles kills him underlines the suicidal nature of Achilles' act.

I hope those examples show how Achilles has the qaulities I mentioned in the second sentence. As for charisma, in some heroes it takes the form of the gift of leadership, of making other men want to be his followers. In Achilles' case, it's more evident in the fact that his very appearance strikes terror into the hearts of his opponents. In fact, when even Patroclus appears in Achilles' armor, the Trojans flee in panic.

Besides having all these qualities, an epic hero is probably handsome. Achilles is frequently given the epithet "godlike." If he's also intelligent, that fact is just icing on the cake. Odysseus, in fact, is something of an object of suspicion in the Iliad because of his intelligence, although it brings him into his own in the Odyssey.

To return to the mortality aspect, neither of Homer's protagonists dies in his epic, although other epic heroes--Gilgamesh, Beowulf, Roland, for example--do. However, we know that they WILL die. Achilles' death, in particular, is strongly foreshadowed. When Priam comes to him to beg for Hector's body, he envisions his own father in a similar situation and gives it up. At the moment a truce has been in effect for several days, and we may be meant to understand that, as soon as fighting resumes, Achilles will be killed.

A tragic hero is a hero who undergoes a tragedy, such as Oedipus the King. He has a tragic flaw (pride) which leads to his downfall. He undergoes a reversal of fortune, losing his fame, fortune, and power to become the shame of the town. He recognizes that he is at fault for everything and comes to accept his fate. An epic hero goes on a journey or quest, such as Odysseus. This hero is basically good. He must prove himself many times over the course of his journey and often has supernatural help.
