No, you're not crazy. I have thoughts like this too about my daughter. But she doesn't sleep in bed w/ us unless she puts herself there. I just go and check on her a lot during the night to make sure she's still there. She's almost 2, and her room is across the hall, but I also still turn the monitor on. I guess I feel if I can hear her, then I can hear someone breaking into to steal her. It also helps me sleep better knowing that in one window of her room is an air conditioner, so we'd hear someone tearing that out to get into her room, and below the other window are her bookshelves that have a lamp and other stuff on the top, so we'd hear someone knocking that stuff over, too. I've thought about getting those alarms that you put on the windows, so if the window raises, the alarm goes off. Maybe you could check into some sort of alarm system. Hope this helps.
