I know, such a repetitive question, but uh good books?!?

Okay, so I need some mind-blowing/fantastic/awesome books.

I’m 14 and I read in basically every genre.

I don’t exactly have spare time, but when I do I love to indulge in a good book

I’ll list some of my “been there, done that, loved it” books:

The Catcher in the Rye- J.D. Salinger

Pride and Prejudice- Jane Austen

Harry Potter-J.K.R

Lord of the Rings- J.R.R. Tolkien

Twilight series-Stephenie Meyer

all books by Sarah Dessen, Sonya Sones, and Ally Carter

Meredith Gentry series- Laurell K. Hamilton

Uglies Series- Scott Westerfeld

Avalon High- Meg Cabot

A Great and Terrible Beauty series- Libba Bray

Me Talk Pretty One Day- David Sedaris

all books by Sonya Sones

If You Come Softly- Jacqueline Woodson

The Color of Water- James McBride

Cirque Du Freak series

there are more, but I don’t want to bore you to death!

I read a lot of different stuff, and I read quite above my age level (or so people say)

so recommendations please!

thank you!!

OK, here's a big, fat list of good stuff. Most, if not all, will be on amazon so you can get reviews and stuff.

Disobedience & A Short History of a Prince ~ Jane Hamilton

If Morning Ever Comes ~ Anne Tyler

The Once and Future King ~ T.H. White

    Tiger Rising ~ Kate DiCamillo

The Secret History ~ Donna Tartt

The Princess Bride ~ William Goldman

    Barn Blind ~ Jane Smiley

All Creatures Great and Small ~ James Herriot

Gone With the Wind ~ Margaret Mitchell

Good Times, Bad Times ~ James Kirkwood

    Sacajawea ~ Anna Lee Waldo

The Car Thief ~ Theodore Weesner

The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter ~ Carson McCullers

One For the Morning Glory ~ John Barnes

Gentleman and Players ~ Joanne Harris

What's Eating Gilbert Grape ~ Peter Hedges

I Capture the Castle ~ Dodie Smith

The Fountain Overflows ~ Rebecca West

    White Oleander ~ Janet Fitch

    Lonesome Dove ~ Larry McMurtry

The Time Traveler's Wife ~ Audrey Niffenegger

As you can see, this list is all over the place. That's the best way to read and really the only way to recommend books to people you don't know. I promise these books are good, but, of course, I can't promise you'll like them all. I bet you'd like a lot of them though so check 'em out and enjoy!

I just finished reading "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey which was AMAZING! One of my favorite books has always been "Lord of the Flies" even though it was a mandatory book we had to read for school Sophmore year. :) If you liked Harry Potter, then I suggest reading "The Chronicles of Narnia". I wasn't really sure about it but now I'm reading it right and i love it!

Have you read any of Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar Series? its quite good as well as has many volumes out now. Or Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden books I really like them. Oh and since you ready the Meredith Gentry books have you read her Anita Blake? I liked them too.
