Unless they make some changes, they might as well get rid of these titles. One suggestion: have IC and US caliber wrestlers only wrestle each other, with the only very occasional divergance against the upper card, main event caliber wrestlers. Let mid-card guys have some success mid card. That was something WCW did very right. Lord Steven Regal was very successful mid card, so was Rey Mysterio, so was Eddie Guerrero, so was Chris Benoit. Eventually these guys became World title holders but not before they proved themselves.
With the tag titles, they need to make things exciting with the tag scene, get more teams and don't break them up after they've seen success. Many of the greatest teams stayed teams, like the road warriors or the dudley boys. Only break up teams when an individual's success is almost a sure thing, such as with Scott Steiner or Booker T. Give more credibility to the teams too. If the two fueding for the world title get put in a tag match against a team like Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch, they should lose. C and M are suppost to be experts in tag team wrestling, suggesting two singles competitors who are fueding can beat them takes away from their credibility.
So to answer your question, unless they do someone like I've described, yes they should dissolve those titles, they've become a joke anyways. There used to be great IC champs like Don Moraco, Ric Rude, Mr. Perfect, but in the last 10 years we've had Road Dogg, Chyna, and Santino. Its not what it used to be, but the same can be said about the current product as a whole.
