How dod Jesus dying on the cross save us from our sins?

Dont get all riled up and dont give me the run-a-round and tell me a bunch of "you have to beilieve" stuff. How did him dying on the cross give us the ability to have our sins forgivin? What if Paunchus Pilot did not sentence him to death and he live a full life? Would we be screwed?

Sorry, How "did", not dod

Update 2:

Hey, dip ****, do I really care how his name was spelled? No, so **** off

Update 3:

I have to turn to profanity, but you initiated it by calling me dipstick. Then you tell me some story that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You didnt even answer the question I asked you ******* moron, you just gave me the run-a-round like I asked you not to. WHAT IF HE DIDNT DIE ON THE CROSS? Can you comprehend this? And how did his dying save us from our sins? Give me an answer, not just a bunch of pieced together theries that your priests have impregnated in my brains. Go follow the herd, you ******* sheep. Baaaaa

Update 4:

To the moron who told me "don't question Gods word" . Your a ******* idiot. First of all, God didnt tell me the story of Jesus dying on the cross, a priest did. So I am questioning him, moron. And if you don't question things, your an idiot that believes whatever people tell you. Religious Morons, ITS OK TO QUESTION THINGS AND THINK FOR YOURSELF. Thats how things are learned.

Update 5:

Tzadiq , I dont know if you were talking about me, but what the **** is wrong with you. Your telling me im wrong for questioning you and cursing, then you call me an ape? So its ok for you (the superior Bible follower) to cast judgement on me, but not ok for me to do that to you. Eat a dick. And why are you calling me an athiest. Im not an athiest, just somebody who is capable of thinking for themselves and wants to know why. You people are so scared of questioning things and thinking for yourselfs, its frightening. Think for yourself moron, dont just beieve it cuz some child molesting retartd told you so.

Update 6:

THINK FOR YOURSELFS PEOPLE, TRUST ME, ITS OK. I even stated in my question that I didnt want anyone to get riled up or tell me to just believe. Then what happens, you FREAKS get all mad because I am curious and I dont just beileve things because someone told me them. Well guess what, that means you believe whatever you were told. And your parents TOLD you about Jesus. That means, if your parents were Jewish, guess what, You wouldn't even believe in Jesus because your just a sheep following the herd.

A few of you even started calling me an atheist because I was asking this question. In what part of my question did I say I was an atheist? Where? And then some of you got so upset that you stated calling me names. Oh no, the Bible Thumper called me a name. oooooh, how Christian of you. Please do us all a favor and dont pro-create.

Thanks everyone!

Update 7:

NOt Socialized:

Your answer did not tell me anything.

My mother died when I was 10

I make $95,000 a year. I could hire a POS like you to whip my nose for me.

You called me a dipstick. I called you a dip ****. Whats the difference moron? Now hurry up and get out of here, your flock is running away without you

Update 8:

Oh yeah, what the **** am I posing as? someone with enough intelligence to think for themselves? maybe you should try that.

The Bible says without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sins. In Hebrews, it says that the blood of goats and lambs could never take away sins. The only one who could take away the sins of the entire world was the promised Messiah of Israel which is Jesus Chirst. In the book of Isaiah, it says that by his wounds we are healed.

If Jesus never died for our sins, then we were be eternally doomed.

God made a Covenant with Abraham. It is commonly called a convenant of the parts and was a pretty normal thing at the time. Abraham cut a few animals in half and places them on either side along with a couple of birds.

Now this covenant works like this. The two parties walk through the midst of the animals and say I agree to do this and if I don't may what happened to these animals be done to me. Abraham did not pass through the parts because God put him into a slumber. Only God passed through. Abraham though the father of faith failed to keep the covenant faithfully.

God ratified the covenant with Israel at Sinai, Same covenant by the way if you look at the language just enlarged to include a nation and not just a man. Israel said "We will obey". They didn't.

Both Abraham and the children of Israel and by extention everyone of us because the covenant was also extended to a mixed multidude who also said "I will obey" did not live up to our end of the covenant. We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Because Abraham, The father of the faithful, did not walk through the parts, God took it upon himself to die a horrible death to pay the death penalty for our sins. He, through the word made manifest in the person of Yahshua, took the wraith and punishment we all deserve and so since the penalty has been paid the sin is removed. We start with a clean slate. This is how God planned it from the beginning knowing that his people would fail and being a merciful God and not willing that any should perish took our punishment for us to reconcile us to him.

And hey you did spell it wrong but it was funny. I thought it was intentional till you got all nasty and defensive about it.

Edit - Yet another fine example of the loving caring tolerant morally superior atheist. Thank you for your fine example. You confirm what we truly know about your morals. And you guys call us hypocrites.

Edit 2 - You are a foul mouth little ape aren't you. Here have a banana and go back to your lair and scratch yourself.

The method by which the sin was to be covered was through the blood, the blood of animals (an animal without blemish - the best one), was called the sacrificial lamb. Why the blood? ....because blood is the life of all things, animal and human. Without blood there is no life. When sin is committed there is death to the life of that person in a spiritual sense. The death is the punishment due to sin. If God demanded death every time the Jews sinned - there would be no Jew left - for all men sin - we have a sin nature from Adam. So, in God's love, He required the sacrifice of animal blood instead of human blood to cover the sin. When the animal's blood was spilled, sin was covered and God could then see the blood of life - not the sin. He would then forgive the Sinner. This Law of Sacrifice was to continue until the promised Messiah would come and replace the animal sacrifice. Christ would then become the blood sacrifice for all mankind, for all their sins, forever (1 John 1:29-36, 1 Peter 1:19, Rev. 5:6-13). God, knowing that man could not even keep the Law and would still sin, as we do today, made it easy to be forgiven, He sent His Son to be our sin cover. We place our sins under the blood of Christ. God now sees His Son's blood and not our sins, when we repent of them. He made salvation easy under Christ.

Christ had to die so that he could rise again in full human form, the same body he died in, physically alive again. By doing this he defeats the curse of death, rising and living eternally, as origianlly intended for humankind. We, with forgiveness and salvation, receive the same from Christ as he raises us into eternal life after of earthluy death. Because of Christ Jesus, we also can defeat the curse of death.

I think this is an excellent question to be asking, so I'm sorry if anyone has put you down. I've been a "Christian" my whole life, but now I'm actually asking fundamental questions and finding out the whole truth for my self. It's better to ask these questions and be knowledgeable about the topic, it simply means you will be more equip. I honestly think everyone needs to ask these questions because a lot of Christians really don't know and that is not ok by my standards. 😉

When Jesus is called the Lamb of God in John 1:29 and John 1:36, it is in reference to His being the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for sin. In order to understand who Christ was and what He did, we must begin with the Old Testament, which contains prophecies concerning the coming of Christ as an “offering for sin” (Isaiah 53:10). In fact, the whole sacrificial system established by God in the Old Testament set the stage for the coming of Jesus Christ, who is the perfect sacrifice that God would provide as atonement for the sins of His people (Romans 8:3; Hebrews 10).

    Hebrews 9:22 (New International Version)

22In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

Jesus was the last sacrifice that was ever needed for the forgiveness of Sin

Thorough Him ALL can be saved, if they CHOOSE to.

    Shut Up FRANK D.

If you don't believe, then i would just pray for you.

Pontius Pilate gave Jesus the punishment because he was afraid of the Jews. Plus, it was part of God's plan. Everything is God's Plan. Even sh*t that's happening is a test from him.

Jesus didn't save anybody from anything . He couldn't even save himself from execution .

He died because he went around shooting off his yapper that he had powers greater than the Emperor . That was against the law , at that time and place . Jesus was treated exactly like anybody else .

Many thousands were crucified by the Romans for a variety of reasons , many far less that claiming to be over the emperor .

If Jesus died for sins , so did the many thousands of others . Why single out one ?

Jesus was the final Lamb Sacrifice ("the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world")... He was destined to fullfill this Act of Love, for True Love is "sacrifice". This act was prophesied since antiquity and recorded before His Incarnation in the Old Testament, i.e. in the Book of Isaiah. This act established a "Door" to Redemption and Salvation, BUT you have to knock, the onus is placed on you to initiate the "Rebirth" in Christ by accepting Jesus as your Savior and Messiah. When one does this is when you are Redeemed, your sins are canceled, your heart is "Regenerated", and then begins your "walk in Christ" to work out your Salvation "in fear and trembling", for it is a process. The ultimate goal is to become an "Overcomer in Christ", which is the level of the "Bride" that is also called the "Sons of God". This will be a Remnant group of only 144,000 who will be "Transfigured" and never experience the Sting of Death, yet continue to live in "Glorified Bodies" on Earth and they will co-rule with Christ as Priest-Kings during the 1000-year Millennial Tabernacle Age after Antichrist (the Beast) and Satan are defeated and bound up for the 1000-year period.
