    **** where to begin!!

Rakim - I Aint No Joke

EPMD - You Gots to Chill

KRS-ONE - The Bridge is Over

    Sugarhill Gang - Rappers Delight

    Warren G - Regulators

UGK - Front Back and Side to Side (their 1st smash single)

    Crucial Conflict - Hay

A Tribe Called Quest - Find A Way

Too Short - So You Wanna Be A Gangster

AMG - ***** Betta Have My Money

The Roots - You Got Me

I can go on all day with these but I'll stop there. As for Dre & Snoop songs you probably have all the best ones already.

this kinda depends on what you consider old school

for the genre u described i'd go for some NWA and dl The Chronic, 2pac albums, Ready to Die and Doggystyle.

If you want some truly old school 70's rapper's delight is by the sugarhill gang.

If you want 80's I'd go with some Eric B. & Rakim, Gangstarr's first stuff, De La Soul's first album, Run-DMC, BDP, Afrika Bambaataa, Slick Rick, Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys and Marley Marl.

As for my favorite era..early 90's

I'd say listen to some Wu-Tang Clan, Big L, A Tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubian, Boot Camp Click, Common, Das Efx, Pete Rock, Jeru, Naughty By Nature, etc.

From there I would just start listenin to people they did collabs with...and let it snowball.

I would even go back as far as Whodini "The Freaks come out at Night" and Kool Moe Dee (before "the Wild Wild West"...although that is great stuff).
