Los Angeles, CA isn't all the glory it appears to be. The media just portrays it as nice, but there's many problems associated with the area. As someone who has lived in over five states, I have to say that Los Angeles has a really high cost of living coupled with a fairly low standard of living for most people. Even if you do get rich, you won't be able to appear very rich. The public services are quite awful, and nothing is convenient. In fact, if it were not for education, I would not be living here. The only good part about Los Angeles is the cosmopolitan population. Other than that, there's really no reason to be here. Very few movie stars make it these days, and Hollywood looks like a wreck. With the high-tech world these days, you probably will have just as much luck in any other large city. In fact, if it were not for economy, I'd think Amarillo is a nice place to live. I've been there, and I liked the general feel of it. Idea is - don't move. Even if you do get rich, you'd be better off living in Texas with a normal job, where the cost of living is low while the rewards are high.
