    I LOOOVE Reagan's speeches. They're just so honest, simple and direct.

    On the other hand Twain was known for his sarcastic humor and actually made most of his money lecturing. He was a favorite amond high school and college students.

    John C. Calhoun was a great speaker as well.

    * I'm not sure if you have to stick w/ that list but Patrick Henry's speech truly was amazing as well as his life. You won't find a more interesting person.

    John F. Kennedy's Berlin speech is one of the greatest speeches of the 20th century. I'm surprised it's not on your list.
