What's the difference between a novel and a book?

    a novel is a long story but book could be about anything such as science, history, technology, geograophy, etc ......

    A novel is a longer work of narrative fiction. A book is a book.

    A book is not necessarily a novel. It could be a book of poems, a book of short stories, a textbook, or many other kinds of books.

    a book is a series of chapters... a novel is a series of books...

    i think... simply put, a novel is longer
