Character Names?

I have to write a story about a typical American family living during the Revolutionary War. What do you think about these names?

Father=Paul---War Doctor

Mother=Claire---Homemaker

Son(15)=William---Following Father's Footsteps

Son(13)=Isaac---Energetic

Son(9)=Henry---Helpful and Very Kind

Daughter(5)=Grace---Sweet Little Girl

Twin Daughters(3)= Abbie and Anna---Rambunctious

GOOD?

SUGGESTIONS?

Those are great names! I agree that Abbie should be changed to Abigail, though. It seems more old-fashioned.

The only name I'm not so sure about is Claire. I don't know when it came into common use in England and the U.S., so I'm not sure if it fits the time period. One of these names definitely would, though:

Clara/Clare (apparently "Clare" is the more English spelling)

    Rachel

    Rebecca

    Mary

    Margaret

    Deborah

    Angelica

    Molly

    Martha

    Elizabeth

    Emily

    Sarah

    Louisa

    Priscilla

    Lydia

    Eliza

    Jane

    Ruth

    Esther

    Nancy

    Agnes

I think they're all good, but I like go with the more unusual names but still make sure their historically accurate.

    My Picks:

    Father: Patrick Morgan

    Mother: Clara Morgan

    Son: William Morgan

    Son: Benjamin Morgan

    Son: Anthony Morgan

    Daughter: Belle Morgan

    Twins: Abigail and Cora Morgan

since its the war..i think one of the twins should be called Abigail instead of Abbie. it sounds older and more realistic..

i like all the rest though. perfect.

I like them all, except maybe James instead of Paul for the father. Good luck!!!

I think instead of Grace it should be Hannah. I was reading a book that took place around that time and Hannah was a popular name.

    Good luck and sounds great!

these are good. but some of them need to be more formal. like abbie needs to be abigail. but the rest are really cute.
