Pink Floyd's Nobody Home has a line about an "obligatory Hendrix perm".

I have a reasonable amount. Almost all of which are from the same band.

    Flop Culture - FM Static

Mentions Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Luther Vandross, The Beatles, Axl Rose, Avril Lavigne, Mick Jagger... lots of names. This one probably has the most.

Girl Of The Year - FM Static

    Mentions Slipknot.

America's Next Freak - FM Static

    Mentions the Backstreet Boys

    Definitely Maybe - FM Static

    Mentions Puff Daddy

    Run For Cover - KJ-52

Mentions the band Thousand Foot Krutch, and the nickname of their vocalist, who features in the song.

    Impossible - Manafest

Mentions the nickname of Thousand Foot Krutch's vocalist, who, again, features in the song.

Sweet Home Alabama references Neil Young, Suite:Judy Blue Eyes is about Judy Collins (even though it doesn't directly mention her name); Smoke on the Water references Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention; Under a Raging Moon (by Roger Daltrey) is about Keith Moon; I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts (by X) references The Minutemen, The Flesheaters, DOA, Big Boys, and Black Flag; Punk Rock Girl (by The Dead Milkmen) references Mojo Nixon; Life in a Northern Town (by Dream Academy) references The Beatles; I'm Stan (by The Dickies) references Kevin DuBrow; You Better, You Better, You Bet references T-Rex; Don Henley Must Die (by Mojo Nixon) is pretty obvious.

One of my favorite Simon and Garfunkel tunes is A Simple Desultory Phillipic (or how I was Robert McNamara'd into submission). That song has a few references in it (I've been Rolling Stoned and Beated til I'm blind... He's so unhip when you say Dylan he thinks you're talkin about Dylan Thomas. Whoever he was? The man ain't got no culture, but it's allright now. Everybody must get stoned).

Also, there is a Built to Spill song called You Were Right. It's a series of shout outs to a bunch of classic rock tunes. Great song.
