play piercings is just that, they are TOO small for jewelry

I pierced my own septum... and stretching it too :) so I know this ...lol

What jewelry are you going to be inserting?

They're are a few methods... I wish I'd known about when I pierced mine

Septum forceps... great for making the needle go straight but you really only need pressure on the side the needle will be coming out of.

Get the IS needle but I prefer Precision Needles because they come Pre-Sterilized

    http://www.painfulpleasures.com/xcart/customer/pro...

Once the needle is in, you just line up the end of the jewelry with the flat end of the needle and push out the needle with the jewelry (don't worry about the needle falling to the floor you can pick it up when your done)

Now what I which I knew when I was piercing my septum was that you can use a steel taper.. either the same gauge or larger and insert the taper as you pull out the needle so you keep the hole open and don't have a pointy thing sticking out your nose.

If you have more questions or ANYTHING email me godheadache@yahoo.com Or message me through Y!A on my profile

    Septum Piercing Needle

Play piercing is meant to be temporary- a lot of people do it during sexual acts, to inhance pleasure, or just simply for a self-gratificaton type of experience. The gauges those needles come in are way to small. Septums heal best at 14g and up- 12g is ideal, as most people say it's the most comfortable, and heals the best at this gauge.

Go with the industrial strength needle. It will be the best by far.

You should have no problem getting the jewelry in if you pierce at 14g at least. A 14g hole is pretty visible, and you should be able to get the jewelry in no problem- a mirror would be great for this in that location of the body.

The best way to insure the jewelry being inserted is to hold the jewelry to the back of the needle (line it up), and then follow as you pull the needle through. The jewelry should slide right in.

I really don't condone self-piercing, but you seem very determined to do this yourself so, I'd at least like for you to be informed as much as possible.

Do lots of research before you pierce yourself though. Look up pictures on correct placement, and incorrect placement, etc.

all you do is put the end of the ring or whatever your using into the opening of the needle and push the needle out with the jewerly but hold onto it cause you dont want the needle to fall befor you get it in.

    i hope that helps you

Honey, I know people who have developed some serious infections from piercings.

I know some people think they are cool

I know people like to be "in style", but your health is more important.

    My advice, don't do it........
