Most people use VPN connections to unblock websites, is good to access blocked sites such as the BBC iPlayer outside of the UK and Hulu out of USA. Also gives anonymous browsing as well which is good when at work I guess.

Proxies. You use them to unblock things. You are basically using another IP address. I get them every day because theres a yahoo group that sends them out called every day proxies. heres some that might work, but I get them everyday because old ones might be blocked. Go to and sign up!

Some of you guys have no clue what youre talking about.

The DISTRICT Tech center blocks sites that large numbers of students go on all at once[or within X amount of hours/minutes/days]

If they think too many kids are using it or getting distracted, they block it.

Theyve blocked Google one day,and suddenly realized their mistake so they fixed it.

Go to one of my questions about this.

I got one dude who gave me a site with a couple THOUSAND.

    Love ya bestest.

I'm sure that schools will not block web sites that they feel you should be able to access. Otherwise, if they feel you don't need it, then they will block it.

I'm sure your school has everything unblocked that you need for research. If you sincerely disagree, plead your case to the principal -- be sure to cite references and proof of your need.

Try - I set it up a few days ago so should still be unblocked at most places! (It's using a new script that has better support for Myspace, Facebook, bebo etc)

Here's a few other, older ones:

    Good luck! :)
