Do you think Bill Clinton and Eliot Spitzer are best buds now?

I think they probably are, both were messing around with other women while both are MARRIED.

When will you guys EVER learn that the Republicans can NEVER make fun of or ridicule ANYONE for infidelity?

"Sen. John McCain was still married and living with his wife in 1979 while, "aggressively courting a 25-year-old woman who was as beautiful as she was rich." McCain divorced his wife, who had raised their three children while he was imprisoned in Vietnam, then launched his political career with his new wife's family money. In 2000, McCain managed to deflect media questioning about his first marriage with a deft admission of responsibility for its failure. It's possible that the age of the offense and McCain's charmed relationship with the press will pull him through again."

"Rudy Giuliani informed his second wife, Donna Hanover, of his intention to seek a separation in a 2000 press conference. The announcement was precipitated by a tabloid frenzy after Giuliani marched with his then-mistress, Judith Nathan, in New York's St. Patrick's Day parade, an acknowledgement of infidelity so audacious that Daily News columnist Jim Dwyer compared it with "groping in the window at Macy's." In the acrid divorce proceedings that followed, Hanover accused Giuliani of serial adultery, alleging that Nathan was just the latest in a string of mistresses, following an affair the mayor had had with his former communications director."

" Newt Gingrich was the most notorious of them all. Gingrich, who ran for Congress in 1978 on the slogan, "Let Our Family Represent Your Family." (He was reportedly cheating on his first wife at the time). In 1995, an alleged mistress from that period, Anne Manning, told Vanity Fair's Gail Sheehy: "We had oral sex. He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, 'I never slept with her.'" Gingrich obtained his first divorce in 1981, after forcing his wife, who had helped put him through graduate school, to haggle over the terms while in the hospital, as she recovered from uterine cancer surgery. In 1999, he was disgraced again, having been caught in an affair with a 33-year-old congressional aide while spearheading the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton."

CBS/AP) Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich was having an extramarital affair even as he led the charge against President Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair, he acknowledged in an interview with a conservative Christian group.

"The honest answer is yes," Gingrich, a potential 2008 Republican presidential candidate, said in an interview with Focus on the Family founder James Dobson to be aired Friday, according to a transcript provided to The Associated Press.

..."during his 2004 Senate campaign, Vitter was accused--by the Republican Louisiana State Committee, no less--of having had an ongoing affair with a female prostitute in New Orleans. Still, Vitter remains in office, a proud supporter of "mainstream conservative principles," according to his Senate website. "

I don't think Bill ever tipped. As for Spitzer, I don't know for sure. If you're counting publicity as a 'tip', only time will tell. Monica Lewinski got a lot of PR from here episode with Mr. Clinton, It'll be interesting to see how much PR this woman of the night gets from this. In any case, I'm sure it will help her business.

BOTH were messing around with other women while MARRIED??!! (insert 'dun dun dun' music here).

Kind of like Newt Gingrich? Or Or Reagan with Nancy (he was married when they met)? Or Bob Allen when he got busted for getting busy with a dude in in public restroom? Or how about Jim Baker and Pat Robertson? You think they're all best friends with Clinton and Spitzer? Or what about Howard L. Brooks, Republican legislative aide and advisor to a California assemblyman, was charged with molesting a 12-year old boy and possession of child pornography? You think hes part of the club? Or mayber Ken Calvert, Congressman (R-Ca), champion of the Christian Coalition and its "family values." Sued as an alimony deadbeat by his ex-wife, and who said "We can't forgive what occurred between the President and Lewinsky." In 1993 he was caught by police receiving oral sex from a prostitute and attempted to flee the scene. I could go on and on here....
