    classical music inclues both Hindustani music and carnatic music. CARNATIC music is from south India while Hindustani music is from north india.

    Carnatic music IS a form of Indian Classical Music. It is the branch of classical music from the southern part of India. The classical music from the northern half of the country is Hindustani music.
