How much does doctor assisted suicide cost?

It's legal in some parts of europe for terminal patients. Are the patients charged for the drugs used? Because that sounds kinda...I dunno....just wrong. But then, who should pay for the drugs? The doc? The state?

I dunno...maybe the drug companies should just offer barbituates at cost when used for assisted suicide.

And another thing...for people against doctor assisted suicide...how do you feel about the death penalty?

doctor assisted suicides happen in usa all the time. unless the doctor is real old school.

my mom is a nurse , and suffice it to say a little more morphine than is necessary is given to terminally ill, suffering patients, when it is obvious they only have a few days at most. when they are lying there suffering, that extra shot of drugs helps them slip away with some dignity.

No. I think the patients should be charged for the drugs used. Either that or it should be covered by whomever is paying for their care.

im sure the patients savings/insurance or the family pays for it. and if i was a useless lump on a bed with nothing but pain and misery to look forward to, i would be the one to ask for that procedure. so...

yea... you can keep your ideals away from me, i dont believe in torture.
