When to is a preposition(介係詞), it can be followed either by a noun or by the -ing form of the verb:
•I look forward to our meeting.
•I look forward to meeting you.
•He couldn't get used to driving on the other side of the road.
•He couldn't get used to the new traffic rules.
•I'm not used to getting up so early.
•I'm not used to early starts.
•I'll get round to doing it.
•I'll get round to it.
•I object to working overtime with no extra pay.
•I object to unpaid overtime work.
First and foremost, an infinitive is the form of the verb, but it is not a verb. Second, an infinitive can be a noun, an adjective or an adverb. And finally, it is always "to" plus a verb.
•Supporters of the Internet fail to mention that it contains a lot of trash packaged to look like reliable information.
=>The subject is SUPPORTERS. The verb is FAIL. The infinitive TO MENTION is the object of the verb. Therefore, it is a noun.
•The ants have arrived to grab the leftovers from the picnic.
=>The subject is ANTS. The verb is HAVE ARRIVED. The infinitive TO GRAB is an adverb explaining why or where they have arrived.
•That attorney has the right to represent you.
=>The subject is ATTORNEY. The verb is HAS. RIGHT is the object of the verb and the infinitive TO REPRESENT is an adjective telling us what kind of right.

Plans and arrangements: to talk about plans and arrangements (in a formal way), especially when they are official.
•The President is to visit Nigeria next month.
When “To be” verbs are combined with modal forms in this manner, the construction is called a phrasal modal. Here are some more examples:
•She is about to apply to several graduate programs.
•She is going to attend the state university next fall.Source(s): Myself and grammar websites. Studied English at the age of 11. Tutored English as an Undergrad. A project manager in the US since 1992

advantage 在本句是名詞，to+Ving就是(介+名詞)做修飾語，那麼be a member of the UN.(做一個聯合國會員) ，be改成動名詞being，這樣而已。
There are a lot of advantages of being a member of the UN.

An architecture is a specialist(X)，前是物，後是人。
An architect is a specialist(O)，前後都是人。
那您會說，後面原句是The country is a member of the UN.，去掉主詞，變be a member of the UN.然後為了要修飾前面的名詞變to be…，這樣，您又回到上面的討論，形容詞的問題，您能說 The smell is white嗎?

Be used to = be accustomed to = accustom oneself to…這裡的to + Ving
Take to = like = be addicted to Ving…這裡的to + Ving
在下英文老師曾告知，背好相對上較少的to + Ving，其他的就是 to + V.

i am looking forward to seeing you!

because "to" is 介係詞, verb should be Ving.
but "to +verb" is still 不定詞‧
