Aren't pharmaceutical companies the real drug dealers of America?

YES . YES. YES. Drug dealers aren't on corners and dark alleys of the worst part of town, they are waltzing around every Dr.'s office in America!
If you complain enough to the right person, with the right set of symptoms, you CAN and will get the drug of your choice!!! LEGALLY!
Something is very wrong, the war on drugs doesn't include prescriptions. Why?
Too much revenue for big brother!!!Source(s): Sis of a recovering prescription-drug addict.

No. There will always be restrictions.... some drugs might be re-classified and may actually be legalized with restrictions (just as alcohol has legal restrictions). A huge problem with this nation though is its perception of crime and how to handle crime after the criminal has been caught and convicted. The public seems okay with paying for a criminal in prison but does not want to pay a dime for substance rehabilitation or treatment. Studies are very conclusive that the cost of a prisoner is much more expensive than treating a addict. This nation needs to get creative with crimes committed directly or indirectly connected to a addiction. Legalization of the substances is only half of the equation. European nations (as you have mentioned) have not legalized drugs without addressing the rehabilitation problem at the same time within their courts and jails. The US has been behind the rest of the world in this because we have politicized crime.

A truer statement has never been made. It's legal robbery is exactly what it is. Nuff said!
