Both organisations purpose for being is to acquire and protect knowledge from rivals and feed false knowledge to rivals through the means of espionage and stealth.

    MI5 United Kingdom Secret Service

    CIA American Secret Service

    KGB Russian Secret Service

    SAS Australian Secret Service

They all amount to the same thing. However espionage is a broad topic and they all use different forms of espionage to serve their purposes.

Both are cumbersome, clumsy and highly inefficient beauracratic bungling messes that cost millions and millions of dollars every year to run and administer. An utter squander of money.

They're both spy agencies (Or what they like to call "Intelligence" agencies! lol), only the CIA works for the US Gov't and the KGB is Russian
