I have to second the recommendation for Maggiano's. I had never eaten there until last year, but had friends in Boston who ate there all the time (in Boston, of course). The food is wonderful and the service is first rate. It IS slightly above average in cost, but not enough to ruin it for you. And if you're going with a large group (I think it is 5 or more) they have this neat group meal that allows you to select two appetizers, two entrees (pasta), two entrees (non pasta), and three desserts, all you can eat, and all for $25.95/person (I think). There were six of us and our bill was slightly over $250. Yes, we made idiots out of ourselves, and probably ate at least $100-$150 worth of flan and Tiramisu alone. Definitely try Maggiano's.
